Man Accused Of Trying To Meet Underage Girl For Sex: Greenwich Police
Greenwich police said they conducted an undercover operation on July 28.
GREENWICH, CT — A 42-year-old man is accused of trying to meet an underage girl in Greenwich for sex, according to the Greenwich Police Department.
Wilson Picon-Guanoquiza, of Bridgeport, was charged with criminal attempt at illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16, criminal attempt at second-degree sexual assault, and criminal attempt at commercial sex abuse of a minor age 15-17, his arrest report states.
On July 28, members of the GPD's Special Victims Section conducted an undercover operation in which a Greenwich police officer purported to be a 14-year-old girl from Greenwich, police said.

Picon-Guanoquiza contacted the undercover officer via cell phone and the two negotiated a price for Picon-Guanoquiza "to have a sexual encounter in exchange for money," police said.
When Picon-Guanoquiza arrived at a predetermined meeting location that day around 5 p.m., he was arrested, police said. The location of the arrest was listed on an arrest report as Sound View Drive.

Picon-Guanoquiza is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 11.
