GREENWICH, CT — Police said a New York man was picked up by Bail Enforcement Agents and turned over to Greenwich Police on Monday after a re-arrest warrant was issued by the court. Julio Molineros, 61, of Port Chester, N.Y., was charged with first-degree failure to appear, according to an arrest report.

Police said the accused was investigated for the sexual assault of a minor in late 2016. The investigation developed probable cause to obtain a warrant for his arrest for fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, police said.

"Upon obtaining the warrant, police discovered Molineros had left the area," police said in the report.

Police said the accused "failed to appear for one or more scheduled court appearances," and the court issued a warrant for first-degree failure to appear on July 3.

On Monday, Bail Enforcement Agents located the accused and returned him to Greenwich Police, where he was arrested and charged with failure to appear.
