May 2025 Crime Statistics Released By Greenwich Police
Check out the crime statistics for the Town of Greenwich for May 2025, according to the Greenwich Police Department.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department on Wednesday released its crime statistics for May, and noted a drop in motor vehicle thefts from the previous month.
There were two motor vehicle thefts in May, compared to eight in April, according to the data.
"We continue to urge residents to lock their vehicles and do not leave your keys within!" Greenwich Police said in a social media post. "We appreciate your cooperation and support in enhancing public safety. Together, we can work towards reducing these incidents and ensuring our neighborhoods remain secure. If you notice any suspicious activity, please report it to the Greenwich Police Department immediately."

The most common citation issued by police in May was for "traveling too fast," the police department said. Forgery was the top reported crime.

- Motor vehicle theft: two
- Domestic violence incidents: 10

- Medical calls: 391
- Motor vehicle stops: 929
Arrest/infraction data
- Juvenile arrests: five
- Adult arrests: 61
- Misdemeanor summonses issued: 12
- Motor vehicle infractions: 531
- Motor vehicle warnings: 537
