GREENWICH, CT — Three Brooklyn, N.Y., men are accused of attempting to obtain codeine cough syrup using fake prescriptions in Greenwich, police said. According to an arrest report, officers were notified Thursday of several men who had arranged for fraudulent prescriptions of codeine to be picked up at a CVS in Cos Cob by posing as a doctor.

When the men attempted to pick up the medication, officers intercepted, police said. An investigation revealed they had conspired and attempted to obtain the narcotic medication fraudulently, police said.

Officers subsequently searched the men's car and found suspected marijuana and paraphernalia, for which each were cited, police said.
