Meteorologist Gil Simmons Is Making Progress In His Recovery
Simmons was hospitalized for about a week earlier this month.

While he has not yet posted about when he will return to the WTNH-TV airwaves, meteorologist Gil Simmonsis making progress in his recovery from an undisclosed, serious medical issue.
Over the past couple of days, the popular Connecticut weather forecaster posted on his Facebook page, thanking well-wishers for the support.
Simmons was hospitalized for about a week starting on July 5 and has been recuperating at home. From the Facebook post, it looks like he's also started some physical therapy.

Words of support and encouragement have continued to pour into his Facebook page from Simmons' loyal fans.
"We may not know what happened and I believe thats probably the way you want it to be," wrote Tammi Delancy on Facebook. "But do know we are all praying for a speedy recovery. Miss you and your positive energy in the mornings."

"Whatever you are recovering from....I have no doubt that you will succeed and be back with that great smile of yours telling us the weather~God bless you in a speedy recovery and good health," wrote Joanne Palumbo.
