CT Weather: Weekend Forecast Update
If you have outdoor plans this weekend one day is definitely going to be much better than the other. Here is the updated weather forecast.

The mini-heat wave continues another day on Friday and once again there is a chance for thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening across Connecticut. In northern parts of Connecticut there is a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms, the National Weather Service says. And if you have outdoor plans this weekend, Saturday is by far the better day as we could see rain and cloudy skies on Sunday.
The National Weather Service says it will be "another very warm day across the region as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will rise well into the 80s to near 90 away from the coast, with coastal areas only topping out in the 60s and 70s." Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, which will pave the way for slightly cooler temps on Saturday and lots of sunshine. On Sunday, the temps begin to decline noticeably.
In a Hazardous Weather Outlook for northern sections of the state, the weather service says, "There is the risk for a line of strong to severe thunderstorms late afternoon into early evening, especially across N/W areas of MA and CT. Strong to damaging winds along with heavy rain and localized urban, poor-drainage flooding are possible with any storms."
