I don’t know when the “light bulb” moment came upon me but I’ve been hanging baseball caps up in my closet for several years now & it’s an awesome use of otherwise wasted space. It’s also great because many of us have way too many hats (myself included) and really, I figured out a place that everyone has in their home where can you put all of them.
Well, here’s my answer… the closet!

Not just storing them in a bin but hanging them up in the closet above the door inside. Yup, inside. Aren’t I clever? This is a great place to stash them in everyone’s closet in their rooms and even in the front hall closet like we’ve done in our home:
