Near-Unanimous Choice As Top High School Football Team In Connecticut

CONNECTICUT — Heading into the second week of regular season play, the Greenwich High School football team solidified its spot on top of the weekly poll of Connecticut sports media members.

The Cardinal received the top nod from all but one of the 23 voters. Killingly, which was fourth in this week's balloting, garnered the other first-place vote.

Shelton made the biggest jump from the preseason poll, moving up five spots into third.
