GREENWICH, CT — An off-duty Greenwich police officer who was arrested on March 27 faces several charges in connection with a domestic violence incident involving another off-duty officer and an "on-and-off-again" relationship the two previously had, according to an arrest warrant from the Connecticut State Police.

Steven Caldwell, 40, a Greenwich resident, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, second-degree breach of peace, disorderly conduct and fifth-degree computer crime, CSP said.

"While this incident is disheartening, it remains an isolated occurrence, and it should not overshadow the dedication and honorable service exhibited by the majority of our officers," GPD Deputy Chief Mark Zuccerella said last week.

Caldwell, a Greenwich High School graduate, joined the department in 2021 after working as a police officer in Bridgeport and a volunteer firefighter in Glenville.
