CT Weather: Accumulating Snow Possible Tuesday Night, Wednesday

Once Wednesday rolls around there will be major weather changes moving in for Connecticut that will stick around for a while.

The upcoming seven day weather forecast has two major focus points, Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, as there is a chance for snow, sleet, rain and then back to snow, and beginning on Wednesday Connecticut re-enters the deep freeze for the foreseeable future.

How much snow accumulation can we expect by Wednesday morning? Not much at the immediate Connecticut coast where less than an inch of snow is forecast. But in inland sections of Southern Connecticut and Northern Connecticut there is a chance for accumulating snow, though that has not yet been defined.

What looks increasingly likely is that the morning commute on Wednesday may be slippery. Once Wednesday arrives the temps plummet and the day time high on Thursday is only in the teens and the low at night will be in the single digits.

Lows tonight will range from the teens well inland, to the middle and upper 20s along the coast. Highs on Monday will range from the lower to middle 30s."

"Another more potent cold front will approach Monday night, bringing a chance for precipitation late Monday night that will spread east through Tuesday morning. It may be cold enough for the
precipitation to start off as all snow for most places, but it will quickly change to rain...
