Christmas Movie Shooting In CT Needs Extras

Always wanted to appear on the silver screen? Now might be your shot with a Christmas movie being filmed locally.

MYSTIC, CT - Connecticut might be the new hotspot for Christmas movies: "My Adventures with Santa" was being shot last year in several Central Connecticut towns and the recent "Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane" took place in Wethersfield.

Now a Christmas movie is being filmed locally - and they're looking for extras, according to a FOX 61 report.

New Britain-based Synthetic Cinema International is producing the movie. The Day reported that it will be a romantic drama that will air on the Hallmark Channel later this year. Who will appear in the movie and its plotline haven't yet been revealed, but the director said the story involves military veterans.

Synthetic Cinema also produced "Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane," which transformed parts of Old Wethersfield into a snowy winter wonderland in October.

Connecticut seems to be one of Hallmark's favorite filming locations. Movies have filmed in Old Lyme and North Haven. Melissa Joan Hart also filmed a Christmas movie in Mystic.
