New Executive Director Announced For Greenwich Chamber Of Commerce

There was an opening for the executive director position after Marcia O'Kane announced plans to step down late last year.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce has named Andrea Blume as the its new executive director.

Blume has more than 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, healthcare, local business and community engagement, the chamber said in a news release. She replaces former longtime Executive Director Marcia O'Kane, who announced plans late last year to step down after 13 years at the helm.

An active member of the Greenwich community, Blume has been involved with the Pemberwick Glenville Association for 13 years – leading the association with a focus on advocacy and local business support, the chamber said.

She has coordinated its very successful "Valley Jam" event that aims to build community and supports local businesses and nonprofits.

"On behalf of our entire Board of Directors, I am so excited to have Andrea join us to lead the Greenwich Chamber into the future," said Dana Marnane, chair, Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, in a news release. "Andrea joins us at a pivotal time. Our community is experiencing a lot of growth and welcoming many new businesses. With her outstanding track record, fresh ideas, local knowledge and extensive experience in fundraising and events, she is a perfect fit to move the Chamber forward."

Blume has served as a Board member of Greenwich Clean and Clean since 2019 and is a member of the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) Land Use Committee. She is an occupational therapy practitioner with over 20 years of direct patient care, spending 12 of those in Fairfield County. Most recently, Blume was the community impact and membership specialist for the Greenwich Council of Scouting America.

"I am committed to fostering a culture of economic growth and business engagement in Greenwich," said Blume in a news release. "I love our town and I am excited to work with local businesses, non- profits and community members to support and strengthen our economy as the executive director of the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce."

Blume was raised and educated in the Midwest and has lived in Greenwich for more than 16 years.
