Severe weather is expected this weekend in Connecticut and here is the timeline of when to expect the worst weather conditions.

A significant storm is still on-track to hit Connecticut on Sunday, especially Sunday night, the National Weather Service states in an evening update. There are still several watches and now warnings in effect for the stormy weather.
A High Wind Warning is now in effect for the immediate Connecticut coast along the Interstate 95 corridor from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday. Wind gusts may approach 60 mph, the National Weather Service says.
Possible impacts include: "Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles," The National Weather Service states.

Inland sections of southern Connecticut remain under a High Wind Watch with winds between 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. For northern Connecticut a High Wind Watch is in effect for winds between 15 to 25 mph with some gusts up to 50 mph.
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire state. The good news is that the estimated rainfall totals have dipped slightly. Now we're expecting between 1 to 3 inches of rain in southern Connecticut, but some isolated areas could see up to five inches in southern Connecticut, the weather service states. Northern Connecticut is projected to receive between 1 to 2 inches of rain and areas of western northern Connecticut could see 3 to 4 inches of rain.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said, "Some of our afternoon computer models have continued to increase the damaging wind potential on Sunday evening. Right now we're expecting 40-60 mph gusts (strongest southeast) but there is the potential for higher wind gusts if a strong low level jet stream moves inland. Widespread tree and power line damage is possible!"
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, "High Wind Warning issued from Milford all the way east through Rhode Island. Rising confidence in power issues for many areas around Connecticut Sunday evening 8PM through 2AM Monday. 40-65+ mph gusts possible for 3hr period.
Do you remember what happened on Tuesday in Connecticut? Well basically, that is what we can expect Sunday into Monday, and the worst of the weather will be isolated to Sunday night and early Monday. The entire state of Connecticut is projected to receive between two to four inches of rain and there could be some isolated areas that receive up to six inches. Winds will also be gusting at times to 50 mph too.
Prior to Tuesday, Connecticut was back in drought conditions, but after this latest rain storm we should be back to normal. In advance of the messy weather, the National Weather Service has issued new advisories and watches for the state. A Flash Flood Watch and a High Wind Watch are in effect for Sunday afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service says a "Deepening low pressure along the Mid Atlantic Coast Sunday into Sunday night will interact with a tropical feed of moisture, producing heavy rain showers along with embedded thunderstorms. Widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected, with localized higher amounts up to 6 inches. Urban and small stream flooding is possible."
Winds will be between 15 to 30 mph with some gusts up to 50 to 60 mph, the weather service states.
NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote Saturday that "We've have increased the wind gust forecast a bit for Sunday evening and night. Strong southerly winds will develop across the state with the worst coming in after dark."
"I’m getting more concerned about damaging winds Sunday night across the state. A combination of recent heavy rain and the potential for 60 mph winds (especially southeast) is a recipe for uprooted trees. The storm continues to look quite impressive and you should be ready for at least scattered power outages!," Hanrahan added.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "Very stormy weather developing Sunday - Monday. The time of worst weather conditions looks to be 9PM Sunday-3AM Monday. A second (not as strong) round of wind all day Monday. If you have a boat still in the water east of New Have through Rhode Island Coast...consider getting it out or secure it big time. Everyone in CT should be ready for power issues Sunday Night-Monday Morning. Check your generator today if you have one. Also, check your sump pump & double check drains around your home."
