Obituary: Kathleen F. Thompson, 97, Of Greenwich

SEPTEMBER 13, 1926 – NOVEMBER 3, 2023

Kathleen F. Thompson, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, CT.,passed away peacefully in her home with her niece and nephews by her side. She was 97 years old. Born in Danbury CT she was the daughter of Fred and Hanna Faust. She graduated from Danbury High School and Becker Junior College where she was the winner of highest honors in the school and was class valedictorian. She worked many years as a Medical Secretary managing the offices of numerous Doctors in New York and Connecticut.

She married her high school sweetheart on February 26,1949. Together they enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his death in 2012. Kathleen enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge club and entertaining family and friends with her amazing Gourmet cooking.

She is survived by her nieces Pamela Cassidy, and Dawn Stoops.,Her nephews Brian Durkin, Sean Durkin, and. Scott Durkin. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Hanna Faust, her husband Richard Thompson, and her sister Josephine Durkin.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours November 9, 2023 11am at Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch Street Greenwich, CT. Interment to immediately follow at Wooster Cemetery 20 Ellsworth Ave. Danbury, CT.
