1. Stone And Brick Estate For Sale In Greenwich At $6.95 Million (patch.com) — Greenwich homebuyers can explore a 2009-built stone and brick estate on Loch Lane, newly listed for $6.95 million. Set on 3.5 secluded acres in mid-country Greenwich, the 8,676-square-foot property features five bedrooms, resort-style outdoor amenities, and a gated entrance with a four-car garage.
   

2. Man Sentenced For Vehicle Theft Scheme Involving Greenwich Dealership: U.S. Attorney (patch.com) — Greenwich readers learn that a New York man has been sentenced to three and a half years in federal prison for using stolen identities to obtain luxury vehicles from a local dealership. Investigators say he and others fraudulently financed at least six high-end cars, including a Corvette bought in Greenwich and moved to New York for resale, with Greenwich police assisting the FBI in the case.
   

3. Recent Death Notices From Greenwich: Aug. 13 To Sept. 13, 2026 (patch.com) — Greenwich residents are remembering several community members who recently died, including longtime volunteers, educators, business leaders and civic contributors active in local boards, parishes and organizations. The notices highlight their careers, service in Greenwich institutions, and the personal passions that shaped their lives, from boating and sailing to education, philanthropy and small business.
   

4. Here's how CT communities are preparing for the nor'easter this weekend (greenwichtime.com) — Greenwich's Office of Emergency Management is urging residents to prepare now for this weekend's nor'easter by clearing drains, securing outdoor items, and stocking food, water, medications, and backup lighting for several days. Officials across Fairfield County, including Greenwich, Fairfield, Branford, and others, are coordinating with Eversource and emergency services, and encouraging residents to sign up for local alert systems and avoid coastal and flooded areas.
   

5. Connecticut police council calls for 7-day license plate data retention among tougher restrictions (greenwichtime.com) — Greenwich residents should know that the state police council is recommending stricter rules on license plate reader data, including cutting retention to seven days and tightening access and oversight. Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey highlighted how the technology has helped solve serious local crimes, while statewide officials balance privacy concerns, data sharing limits, and new drone and camera guidelines taking effect around Oct. 1.
