Person Fatally Struck By Train Near Cos Cob Station: MTA
The MTA said a person was struck by a train and killed near the Cos Cob station Wednesday afternoon.

GREENWICH, CT — A man was struck by a train and killed near the Cos Cob station Wednesday afternoon, according to a Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesperson. Further details were not immediately available.
The incident happened at approximately 3:35 p.m., the MTA spokesperson said. The 3:30 p.m. train from Stamford to Grand Central Terminal was rerouted because EMS and police were responding to the scene.
The incident resulted in delays of up to 30 minutes on the New Haven Line. Police wrapped up their investigation Wednesday evening.
