The couple's argument began in a parking lot and continued when they entered their child's classroom, according to police.

Two parents were arrested following what Greenwich Police describe as a “family dispute” that began in a parking lot and moved into a Family Centers classroom on Arch Street in downtown Greenwich.

According to a police report, police were called to the 40 Arch St. facility about 9:30 a.m. March 6 by school personnel who told officers that “while walking down the hallway administrators for the facility described the the two individuals as arguing with raised voices.”

The couple, identified as Evelyn E. Stowell, 37, of 36 Arch St., Greenwich, and William M. Stowell, 34, of 63 Hoyt St., New Canaan, “continued to yell at each other within the classroom distracting and upsetting the four students who were in the room at the time. …they were slamming shut the doors before finally exiting the facility,” according to the report.
