Police Search Continues For Evidence From Skeletal Discovery In Greenwich Park

The remains were initially discovered in Helen Binney Kitchel​​ Natural Park on April 25.

GREENWICH, CT — Members of the Greenwich police, Connecticut State Police Dive Team, and state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection returned to Binney Park Thursday morning to resume the search for clues surrounding the April discovery of skeletal remains in the park.

Authorities are checking contaminated tidal areas of the park, according to Greenwich Police Lt. David Nemecek.

"This is a continuation of the original investigation," stated Nemecek. "The area is taped off as the scene is searched."

Following the April 25 discovery, police have returned to the park numerous times to search for evidence, but so far the unofficial word from authorities is that the clues are consistent with the remains of one person.
