Raccoon Falls Through Bathroom Skylight: Animal Complaints
Here is a roundup of some of the most recent animal complaints, both domestic and wildlife, reported to the Greenwich Police Department.

GREENWICH, CT — While Greenwich Police receive respond to a number of criminal complaints each day, the department also handles a number of animal complaints over the course of a week. From a raccoon falling through a bathroom skylight to a sick skunk in a driveway, Greenwich officers have received some interesting, as well as some routine, reports.
Here is a roundup of some of the animal complaints, both domestic and wildlife, recently reported to Greenwich Police. All information was provided by the Greenwich Police Department.
Raccoon Falls Through Skylight

On Feb. 7, a Silver Beach Road resident reported a raccoon had fallen through the skylight of their second-floor bathroom around 5:30 a.m. Officers responded and were able to chase the animal out of the house.
The animal then left the residence without incident.

Sick or Injured Raccoon
On Feb. 7, a "sick or injured" raccoon was found by a work shed on Tod's Driftway around 6:15 a.m. The incident was referred to the town's animal control officers.
Raccoons Living On Deck
On Feb. 7, a Spring Street resident reported a family of raccoons has set up residence on his rear deck. Officers contacted a wildlife removal company to investigate.
"When these animals set up residence under your porch or something like that," Lt. John Slusarz said to Patch, "that's who we refer you to."
Dog Crawls Under Fence
On Feb. 9, a Byram Shore Road resident reported a small dog with a pink collar had crawled under a gate at his house. When officers responded to the area, they found the dog had already gone home.
Small Beagle Found
On Feb. 9, a Bible Street resident reported having found a small beagle in the area. Slusarz said the dog was returned to its owner.
Sick Skunk In Driveway
On Feb. 9, a resident reported a "sick or dead" skunk was sitting in their driveway on St. Claire Avenue. Officers responded and located the stationary animal.
According to Slusarz, the animal was euthanized.
