Rash Of Vehicle Break-Ins Reported In Cos Cob, Greenwich Cops Say
"A variety of valuables were stolen from cars in the Cos Cob area of Town.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police are investigating a rash of thefts from motor vehicles in Cos Cob which occurred overnight Sunday into early Monday morning (July 15-16), according to authorities.
"A variety of valuables were stolen from cars in the Cos Cob area of town," wrote Greenwich police in a statement. Which streets were hit was not disclosed.
According to Greenwich Police Sgt. John Thorme, of the department's Community Impact Section, all of the burglarized vehicles had been left unlocked.

The incidents prompted Sgt. Thorme to remind residents that the best way to avoid this kind of theft is "to lock their doors and take their keys with them." Additionally, "avoid leaving unattended valuables in vehicles, especially where they are easily seen."
