Sentencing Approaches For Greenwich Teen In Fatal Crash: Report

GREENWICH, CT — Andrew Schmidt, the Greenwich 19-year-old responsible for the crash that killed 43-year-old pedestrian Edward Setterberg in 2016, is scheduled to learn his punishment for the incident when he appears in court next week, writes the Greenwich Time.
Schmidt is slated to be sentenced on Nov. 28 for one to three years in prison, and receive five years of probation, as part of a court deal for pleading guilty for his involvement in the hit-and-run crash.
Setterberg was killed on West Putnam Avenue near Hillside Road in April 2016. He was out walking in the evening when the vehicle the then 17 year-old Schmidt was driving hit him and drove off.
