Connecticut Weather: Flooding Rain, Dense Fog, Temps Drop
Today and tomorrow are good days to stay indoors. Here's the not so great weekend weather forecast for Connecticut.

There are so many weather watches and advisories in effect for Connecticut currently. The first concern is the dense fog that is out there now and will continue throughout the day. Secondly, a Flood Watch is in effect for a heavy rainstorm, which could drop 2 to 3 inches of rain on the state Friday and into Saturday morning, leading to flooding concerns.
And a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Hartford, Tolland and Litchfield counties for Satursday. The National Weather Service says, "Brief period of freezing rain and sleet along with a flash freeze. Total ice accretion a trace to a few hundredths of an inch expected.
"Rain will change to a brief period of freezing rain and sleet by Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will
rapidly fall from the 50s and into the 20s by Saturday afternoon...resulting in a Flash Freeze. Untreated roads and walkways may quickly become icy," the weather service says of northern Connecticut.

In southern Connecticut, icing is less of a concern on Saturday, but a Special Weather Statement, Flood Watch and Hazardous Weather Outlook have all been issued due to the dense fog and flooding concerns.
Temps will drop like a rock on Saturday afternoon and we'll be below freezing for the next few days. There is also a chance for snow on Tuesday and Wednesday too. Odds of snow are a little less than 50 percent currently.
