Connecticut Weather: Accumulating Snow Expected For P.M. Commute
Connecticut is going to see accumulating snow for the evening commute. Here's how much and when to expect the worst of it.

The National Weather Service has issued a "Special Weather Statement" for all of southern Connecticut for "accumulating snow during the evening commute."
For Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties, the National Weather Service says, " Light snow will develop this afternoon between 2 and 4 pm and continue through the evening commute. Given the recent cold temperatures, roadways will become snow covered and slippery. Around 1 to 2 inches of snow is forecast, with the highest amounts across the New York City metro, Long Island, and southern Connecticut. Motorists are urged to use extra caution if traveling this evening. The snow will gradually taper off from west to east after 7 pm...."
NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said, "Pretty sudden change to the forecast for Friday evening. Once again light and fluffy but will be a pain for the PM commute."
