String Of Thefts From Cars Under Investigation: Greenwich Police
The police department is urging residents to lock their cars and take their belongings with them.
GREENWICH, CT — Police are investigating a string thefts from cars around Greenwich last week.
In the overnight hours from Aug. 4 to Aug. 5, a pair of expensive sunglasses was stolen from an unlocked car on Dialstone Lane in Riverside. On Aug. 7, a purse was taken from a car on West Putnam Avenue between 10:15-10:30 a.m.
Also on Aug. 7, a wallet containing about $90 in cash was taken from a car on Old Kings Highway.

"Lock your cars, don't leave your valuables in sight," said Lt. Martin O'Reilly of the Greenwich Police Department.
