Suspect Accused Of Stealing $32,000 From Greenwich ATM: Police
The theft occurred in February of last year.

GREENWICH, CT — A 39-year-old Shelton man was arrested on a warrant by Greenwich police Tuesday in connection with the theft of $32,000 in February 2018 from an ATM at a CVS on the Post Road in Cos Cob.
Taken into custody at 6 a.m. Tuesday was Joshua B. Moore, of Acadia Lane, following a lengthy police investigation.
Greenwich police detectives were able to zero in on Moore as a suspect in part because of other ATM break-ins that were similar to the Cos Cob CVS theft.

"Detectives noted that characteristics of this incident were similar to two previous ATM burglaries," wrote Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry in a statement. "The first occurring on August 14, 2017 at the Shell Gas Station located at 1429 East Putnam Avenue where over $46,000 was stolen from an ATM. The second was at the same CVS location and occurred on November 14, 2018 involving over $26,000 being stolen from the ATM."
Greenwich detectives viewed extensive surveillance footage, studied the patterns of the burglaries, spoke with law enforcement from other jurisdictions and obtained search warrants for cell phone records in the investigation.

All of which led to Moore's arrest Tuesday, and Berry said that the investigation is continuing and more charges may be filed in the future.
Moore was charged with:

- Larceny, first degree
- Criminal mischief
He was held in lieu of bail of $250,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday.
