Suspect In Greenwich Bank Robbery Is Arrested
Arrested in New Jersey, the woman reportedly is suspected of robbing a bank in that state and in Greenwich.

A woman suspected of robbing banks in New Jersey and in Greenwich, reportedly was arrested by the FBI in New Jersey on Thursday.
“The Greenwich Police Department Detective Division has been working closely with the FBI and other state and local agencies, investigating the bank robbery of the Greenwich Bank and Trust. On March 5, 2015 there was a significant break in the case,” Greenwich Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray said in a statement Friday morning. He referred all inquiries to the FBI in Newark, who were not immediately available for comment.
A woman suspected of robbing the Greenwich Bank and Trust on Jan. 30 and the Glen Rock Savings Bank in Glen Rock, NJ on Feb. 18 was arrested in Atlantic City, according to NewJersey.com. The robber had escaped with about $100,000. Her identity was not released, according to the report.

In the Greenwich heist, a gun-toting woman escaped with several thousand dollars from the bank branch at 1103 E. Putnam Ave. in the Riverside neighborhood of Greenwich.
A third bank was robbed by a gun-toting woman in Darien in late February. The Chase Bank at 165 Noroton Ave. was robbed about 4 p.m. on Feb. 24. It is not known how much money was taken. Darien police say the woman who robbed the Greenwich bank is suspected in the Darien bank heist.

Last week, Gray said that Greenwich investigators were working with authorities in Darien and New Jersey to determine whether all three robberies were connected.
