Teen Faces Alcohol, Weapons Charges Following Greenwich Car Crash
The 19-year-old was arrested after he crashed into a utility pole.

A 19-year-old was arrested on alcohol and weapons charges by Greenwich Police after the car he was driving crashed into a utility pole in central Greenwich.
The teen had “red, glassy eyes … an odor of burnt marijuana on his person” and “slurred speech” when he spoke to officers investigating the crash that occurred at 11:15 p.m. Saturday on Mason Street, according to a police report.
Police found that the driver had two 50 milliliter bottles of alcohol on his person and a “search of the vehicle yielded several empty bottles of alcohol,” according to the report. During the vehicle search, police also found a BB pistol and 11 cartridges for the gun, according to the report.

Hector Ouimette, 19, of Spindle Hill Road, Wolcott, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under 21 years of age, unsafe movement, cell phone use without a hands free device, weapons in a motor vehicle and possession of alcohol by a minor.
Ouimette was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear June 15 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
