Theresa Slomoshynsky, 100; Retired Seamstress Who Lived in Riverside

Mrs. Theresa Slomoshynsky of Riverside, CT passed away peacefully on April 4, 2015 after a brief illness. She was 100.

Born on June 15, 1914 in Greenwich, CT she was the second daughter of the late Nicholas and Natalie Woloszyn.

She was a seamstress in the Kay Chester Dress factory in Port Chester, NY for many years before retiring. She was the wife of the late Fedir Slomoshynsky who predeceased her in 1997.

She is survived by her sister Agnes and brother-in-law Dante Rich of Rye, NY, as well as her nieces and nephews, Edward Salkoski, Lauren Rich, Richie Woloszyn (Louanne), Susan Madison (Tom), Janet Bayley (Rick) Phillip Woloszyn (Karen) and Judi DiRario (Michael) and Taras Shevets and family and many great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Mary Woloszyn and Ann Salkoski and brother Edward Woloszyn.

The family will receive friends at The Castiglione Funeral Home at 134 Hamilton Ave, Greenwich, CT on April 9, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vladimir’s Church at 12 noon, 24 Wenzell Terrace in Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
