Connecticut Labor Day Weekend Weather Forecast: Rain, Thunderstorms Possible Late Saturday, Sunday
The remnants of Harvey will bring some unsettled weather to Connecticut this Labor Day holiday weekend. Here's the latest details.

The Labor Day weekend weather forecast for Connecticut will include a possibly stormy period of time but the good news is that it is largely confined to Saturday night and Sunday morning/early afternoon. The National Weather Service is predicting rain and thunderstorms to move into Connecticut after midnight Saturday and continue into Sunday early afternoon. A half inch of rain is expected and possibly higher amounts in areas that get thunderstorms, the weather service states.
There is still plenty of good news in the holiday forecast, Saturday and Monday both appear sunny, and Sunday later in the afternoon looks to be dry, just don’t expect any sun on Sunday. (To sign up for free, local breaking news alerts from more than 100 Connecticut communities click here.)
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said on social media, “Happy Friday and the first day of Meteorological Fall! A cool and breezy but nice day today with highs in the upper 60s to about 70. The pollen count and mold spores are still a bit high. It looks like showers arriving later tomorrow, tomorrow night into Sunday. Otherwise quiet for the rest of the holiday weekend.”
