Town Of Greenwich: 2025 Island Camping & Picnic Permits

Reservations for picnic and overnight camping permits for the 2025 season will be accepted starting Feb. 18.

The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that reservations for picnic and overnight camping permits for the 2025 season will be accepted starting Tuesday, February 18, 2025. All reservations will be processed ONLINE ONLY.

Residents wishing to make a reservation, must first verify their residency for the 2025 season. Two (2) proofs of residency are required for the primary account holder, and one (1) proof of residency is required for the permit holder (if different from the primary account holder). Available Reservations:

Overnight Island Camping:

  • Great Captain Island
  • Island Beach

Reservations for overnight island camping are limited to one (1) night per family for the entire season.

Town Picnic Areas:

  • Bruce Park – Wood Road
  • Byram Park
  • Greenwich Point Clambake
  • Greenwich Point Cowbarn

Reservations for Town picnic areas are limited to one (1) reservation per family for the entire season.

Payment and Account Requirements:

All fees for reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. Additionally, residents with an outstanding balance on their Parks and Recreation account will be unable to receive a permit until the balance is settled.
