Two Dozen Greenwich Roads Remain All Or Partially Closed: PD
The town continues to grapple with the aftermath of the March 2 nor'easter.

GREENWICH, CT — As of 2 p.m. today, March 5, 21 roads in Greenwich remain closed, and six more have partial closures due to downed tree and utility lines, following Friday's nor'easter, according to Greenwich police. The number is down from 180 roads which were closed in Greenwich at the height of the storm.
Eversource and town highway crews have been working to clear the roadways as quickly as possible, and as of 2:32 p.m. on Monday about 1,063 Eversource customers remained without power, according to the utility company.
"Please do not go near or touch downed wires, even if the power is off in your neighborhood," wrote police officials in a statement. "The wires may be energized from another source and cause serious injury or death if touched."

From the police department's release:
Use caution when using, heaters, or cooking equipment that run carbon-based fuels inside. They may cause carbon monoxide poisoning if improperly used. CO is a colorless and odorless gas which could result in loss of consciousness and/or death. It is produced during incomplete burning of organic matter.
Plan ahead and schedule extra time. Roadways are expected to be congested as we work to recover from this last storm. Residents should monitor news outlets and prepare for another winter storm expected midweek.
