Upcoming Veterans Day Events In Greenwich

There are three Veterans Day events scheduled in Greenwich to pay tribute to all those who have served.

GREENWICH, CT — Veterans Day is Nov. 11, and there are several events scheduled in Greenwich to honor all those who have served.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10:30 a.m., the Cos Cob VFW Post 10112 will hold a ceremony at the small park on Strickland Road across from the Greenwich Historical Society.

Then on Nov. 11, there will be a veterans march down Greenwich Avenue to the war monument in front of Restoration Hardware on Arch Street. A ceremony put together by the American Legion Post 29 will be held right after.

First Selectman Fred Camillo noted in his weekly newsletter that the ceremony will focus on Vietnam veterans and the challenges they continue to face as a result of their service.

At noon, the Byram Veterans Association will also host their annual march down Delavan Avenue. A block party to celebrate veterans will follow.
