Cos Cob School Closed For Second Day Tuesday: UPDATE

A water leak from a broken pipe closed the school Monday.

GREENWICH, CT — Cos Cob School, which was closed Monday, due to a water leak from a broken pipe, will be closed for a second day on Tuesday, Oct. 9, according to district officials.

"Cos Cob School will be closed Tuesday, October 9, due to ongoing assessment of damage as a result of a water leak," officials wrote in a statement. "Restoration and environmental consultants, and Town officials, among others are or will be on-site to assess the damage, conduct air-quality testing, and to estimate the clean up and restoration plan and timeline. District and school administrators are reviewing plans to address impacted classrooms in order to be able to resume school as soon as possible. Once the assessments have been completed, the District will have a better idea of the timeline."
