Water Main Break In Cos Cob Restored: Aquarion

Aquarion said the break affected approximately 30 customers.

GREENWICH, CT — The water main break on Loughlin Avenue in Cos Cob was restored Monday afternoon after several hours, according to the Aquarion Water Company website.

Loughlin Avenue was closed between Strickland Road and Maplewood Drive due to the break, which was reported by Aquarion at 7:32 a.m.

The break, which was restored at 1:35 p.m., affected approximately 30 customers in the area.

"During and after the outage event, some customers may experience discolored water. You may want to use stored water for drinking and cooking, and delay clothes washing until water is clear. Run your cold water faucet until the water appears clear, prior to resuming use for these purposes," Aquarion says on its website.

Loughlin Avenue is closed between Strickland Road and Maplewood Drive in Cos Cob due to a water main break, according to the Greenwich Police Department.

Police said Aquarion was en route.

The Aquarion website shows the break is affecting approximately 30 customers on Loughlin Avenue and Maplewood Drive. There is an estimated restoration time between 11:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
