A huge fourth quarter got theboys basketball team back on the winning track.
Down by two entering the fourth quarter, the Cardinals outscored Harding 20-3 over the final eight minutes to post a 66-51 victory over the Presidents on Friday.

Alexandro Rodriguez scored 23 points and Alex McMurray added 13 for Greenwich, which had a six-game winning streak snapped by Norwalk on Tuesday. Greg Donlic chipped in with 12 points for the Cardinals.
Greenwich improved to 9-2 while Harding dropped to 2-9. The victory was the 100th for the Cardinals coach Bill Brehm.

The Cardinals needed a win on Friday because their schedule is about to get a lot more difficult, starting next week with games against Bridgeport Central and Westhill.
Greenwich is tied with Trinity Catholic for the FCIAC's third-best record behind St. Joseph and Ridgefield, who are undefeated.
After the team battled to a 24-24 halftime tie, Harding jumped ahead 36-31 midway through the third quarter beore taking a 38-36 lead into the final period.
Davaughn Mcallister scored 15 points and Steven Walker added 14 for the Presidents, who led 10-8 after the first quarter

The Greenwich girls basketball team snapped its 11-game losing streak Friday, routing Harding 65-34 in Bridgeport.
Jenny Cespedes scored 17 points for the Cardinals, who improved to 2-11 overall and 2-9 in the FCIAC. It was Greenwich's first win since a season-opening overtime victory against Fairfield Ludlowe. Rebecca Kural added nine points for the Cardinals.
Harding dropped to 2-10 overall and 0-10 in the FCIAC.
Desperate for a win, Greenwich jumped out to a 23-10 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 40-26 at the half.
The Cardinals then put it away by allowing only eight points in the second half.

The Greenwich Soccer Association will conduct tryouts for its travel teams in the third, fourth and fifth grades.
The tryouts will take place at the Armonk Indoor Sports Center at 6 p.m..
