Woman Faces Larceny Charge Following Theft from Saks Fifth Avenue

The Greenwich store's asset protection staff identified the suspect who reportedly put a blouse inside her jacket.

A woman is facing a fifth-degree larceny charge in connection with the theft of a pricey blouse from the Saks Fifth Avenue store on Greenwich Avenue.

The woman was identified by the store’s asset protection staff as having “exited the store without paying for a white Akris Punto blouse,” according to a Greenwich Police report. It was shortly before 7:30 p.m. March 28 when “she was escorted back into the store and the blouse was located wrapped within her jacket,” officers wrote in their report.

The woman was identified as Susan E. Furth 56, of 61 Hickory Ln., Bedford, NY. She was released after posting $50 bond.

She is scheduled to appear April 10 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
