CT Nor'easter: 39K Without Power, Restoration by Sunday Night
Power outages soared Friday night as the nor'easter begins to taper off but outages are beginning to decline Saturday.

More than 39,000 Connecticut residents are without power as of noon Saturday after a powerful nor'easter caused havoc across the state on Friday. At one point outages were more than 65,000 on Friday. The rain and snow is over but winds will remain gusty today but nowhere near as strong as Friday.
Eversource is reporting 37,800 power outages Saturday and United illuminating Co. is reporting 1,145 outages.
Eversource officials say tree and line crews, assisted by thousands of support personnel, have been working “non-stop to repair the destruction caused by the high winds, rain and snow that swept through the region today.” Outages are expected to be restored by Sunday night.
