YMCA Greenwich CEO Announces Career Decision
Three years ago, Ed Philipp took over a beleaguered organization that is now debt-free and profitable.

The Greenwich YMCA Board of Directors announced Friday that CEO Ed Philipp is resigning after three years at the helm of the organization.
Philipp, who came to Greenwich from the Rye YMCA in August 2012, will leave in August “to pursue other endeavors, the details of which have not been released,” the Y said in its announcement.
Y Board President Sandy Waters said in a statement, “under Ed’s leadership, the Greenwich YMCA settled its construction debt, grew financial aid to deserving individuals and families from $100,000 in 2012 to more than $400,000 2014, expanded and re-energized its volunteer network, and operated with a stable, cost-effective, and profitable financial model.”
