1 Dead, 1 Injured In Groton New Year's Day Crash: Report
Police said one woman has died and another was seriously injured as a result of a New Year's Day crash in Groton.

GROTON, CT — Police said one woman has died and another was seriously injured as a result of a New Year's Day crash in Groton, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred Monday at the intersection of Flanders Road and state Route 184, police said.
Police said Jean Shutsky, 88, of Oakdale died overnight in the hospital after her vehicle collided with another car around noon, according to the New London Day. The driver of the other involved vehicle, 66-year-old Marilyn Comrie of Groton, remains hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.
Police said neither car was carrying any passengers, the New London Day reported. Police are still investigating the situation.
