2 Former Groton Schools To Be Marketed For Development: Report

Town officials said they will begin marketing two former schools for development once both are turned over to the town.

GROTON, CT — Groton officials said Tuesday the town will begin marketing two former schools for development once both are turned over to the town, the New London Day reported.

According to the Day, the town owns Colonel Ledyard School but had leased it to the city to potentially use for office space. Groton City Mayor Keith Hedrick told town officials Tuesday the city would turn the property back over to the town after it is cleaned out.

As for the recently-closed Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Superintendent Michael Graner said he'd have an answer soon as to when it would be turned over to the town, according to the Day.
