400 Gallons Of Oil Spills In Groton: Report
DEEP officials said about 10 gallons broke onto the Thames River, which created a sheen.

GROTON, CT — Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials said a 400-gallon oil spill occurred Thursday morning at Groton Oil and Marina after oil was accidentally delivered to the wrong underground storage tank, the New London Day reported.
According to the Day, officials said the oil flowed out of the tank, traveled down a hill and pooled at a retaining wall, which caused it to soak into the soil and impact groundwater. Officials also said about 10 gallons broke onto the Thames River, which created a sheen.
