Alleged Groton Wine Thief Dubbed 'Bordeaux Bandit' Sentenced in Rhode Island
Scott Deluca allegedly stole bottles of expensive wine from liquor stores and restaurants, and also a Wii video game player.

Scott M. Deluca, also known as the alleged “Bordeaux Bandit,” was sentenced to 90 days in prison in Rhode Island in connection with the theft of a Wii video game console and other items from a home in Cumberland in 2011.
The Associated Press and ABC News reports that following his prison term, Deluca will face possible extradition on a fugitive from justice charge related to the Groton restaurant theft of a bottle of 1990 Chateau Petrus, which can cost close to $5,000.
Deluca, 25, of Cohoes, NY, is also accused of stealing other expensive bottles of wine from locations in New York and New Jersey.

In addition to the 90-day sentence - six years of which were suspended - Deluca also must more than $6,000 in restitution.
