Police said the investigation began in June 2025 when a victim reported finding a GoPro camera under their bed in a private room at Hitchcock's home. The victim was staying at the home at the time of the discovery, Town of Groton police said.

An investigation found that the camera contained digital images of the victim, including at least one in which the victim was nude, according to police.

Hitchcock was released on $100,000 bond and scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Monday.
