• Groton Man Arrested After Police Find Ghost Gun In Car (patch.com) — A Groton man with multiple outstanding warrants was arrested in New London after police say he gave a false ID and was helped by another man trying to conceal his identity. Officers searching their vehicle reported finding an altered 9 mm ghost gun, leading to a long list of firearm and interference charges for the Groton resident and several related charges for his companion.
   

• Change of command for USS Iowa (theday.com) — A change of command for the Virginia-class submarine USS Iowa just took place in Groton aboard the Historic Ship Nautilus, with Cmdr. Kyle Haubold relieving Cmdr. Gregory Coy. The Navy highlighted the crew's strong reputation and the importance of daily readiness, while Coy departs for a new submarine squadron role in Pearl Harbor.
