Chelsea Groton Bank Promotes Barbara Curto To AVP, Marketing Manager

A Chelsea Groton Bank employee and Mystic resident has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Marketing Manager.

GROTON, CT – Barbara Curto has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Marketing Manager at Chelsea Groton Bank. She joined the Bank as the Marketing Representative in 2015.

In this role, Curto will be responsible for developing brand-enhancing strategies and overseeing the Bank’s day-to-day public relations, advertising and social marketing efforts, according to a release. “We’re very excited to have Barb leading our marketing efforts,” Chelsea Groton Bank Director of Sales and Service Lori Dufficy said in a release. “Barb is highly effective and results-oriented. She will help ensure that we continue to enrich and expand the marketing strategies of the Bank as we help more customers achieve their specific goals.”

Prior to joining Chelsea Groton Bank, Curto was a Senior Account Executive at the Karma Agency in Philadelphia. While at Karma, she managed public relations, advertising and social media campaigns, website content development and events for clients in a variety of industries including finance, chemical, healthcare and non-profit.

Curto earned a bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Loyola University Maryland, where she studied Communications and International Business. She completed a graduate certificate program in Strategic Communication at Villanova University in 2009.

Curto is a member of the Connecticut Saves Campaign committee and the Chelsea Activity Team. She and her family reside in Mystic.
