Family Considers Selling Historic Groton Farm
The owners of a historic Groton farm said they are considering selling the property after almost 200 years in the same family.

GROTON, CT — The owners of Groton Family Farms said they are considering selling the historic property, the New London Day reported. The farm has been under the ownership of the Burrows family for generations.
According to the Day, Warren Burrows owns the property with his brothers and sister, but recently moved to the West Coast to be near his daughters. The farmhouse on the property was built in 1784 by Burrows' ancestor, and the large barn was built by Burrows' great-great grandfather in 1892 after the Civil War.
The family will hold a meeting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, at the Groton Public Library to ask residents what they would like to see happen to the historic 6 1/2-acre property, according to the New London Day.
