The Groton Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (GASP) is looking for new members for our substance abuse prevention and mental health promotion Coalition. Established in 2000, GASP has worked to keep Groton a healthy and safe environment for everyone by increasing protective factors and decreasing risk factors in our youth through community collaboration.
Last year, GASP was awarded a grant from the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to continue their work in Groton through 2020. The Coalition meets monthly at the Groton Town Police Department. Lunch is served.
GASP is particularly looking for members from the business community, faith leaders, youth (middle and high school age), civic group leaders, and parents.
