Groton 4th of July Parade To Impact Traffic

Police advise motorists to avoid the area for part of July 4.

GROTON, CT — Police announced some road closures and other advisories for the 4th of July parade in Groton.

The parade starts July 4 at 10 a.m. in the area of Poquonnock Plains and proceeds west on Route 1 until it reaches the Groton Shopping Plaza.

Access to and from the section of time will be restricted to emergencies only between 9:30 and 11 a.m.
