Groton City Police Chief Set to Retire this Year

The Groton City police chief will retire this year after having served the department since 2012.

GROTON, CT - Groton City Police Chief Thomas Davoren will retire next month, the New London Day reported. He will step down after leading the department for five years.

Police Chief Thomas Davoren will retire on June 1, according to the New London Day. He was sworn in as chief in August 2012. (To sign up for Groton breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Deputy Chief Michael Guillot will run the department after Davoren leaves until a new chief is selected, the New London Day reported.
