Groton Crash Causes Left Lane Closure and More Accidents: Update

A couple cars collided and a tractor-trailer went down an embankment Wednesday morning on Interstate 95 north, causing the closure of the left lane between exits 88 and 89, according to The Day.
Police confirm that the left lane is still closed as of Wednesday at 3:30, leaving only the right lane open. They did not have an expected time for it to reopen.

The accidents and delay caused a state police cruiser to be struck from behind, and another accident was reported in the congestion, The Day reported.
Injuries were also reported from the incidents, according to The Day. Police and crews are still working to clear the area.
